CaptionRocket Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 2, 2026

CaptionRocket is an on-device video captioning app for iPhone, made by Rocket City Lead Co. This policy covers the CaptionRocket app. The short version: the app collects nothing. Your videos are captioned on your phone and never leave it unless you choose to share an export.

What we collect

Nothing. CaptionRocket has no account sign-up, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. We do not run servers that receive your videos, your audio, your captions, or your usage. We cannot see what you caption, and we could not share or sell it if we wanted to.

Your videos and captions

Videos you import from Photos or Files are transcribed on your device using a speech model stored on the phone. Transcription works with no internet connection. Your projects, caption files, and settings stay in the app's storage on your phone until you delete them. Finished videos and subtitle files go only where you send them, such as back to Photos, to Files, or to another app through the share sheet.

The one download

The first time you caption a video, the app downloads the speech model it needs from a public model host so transcription can run on the device. That download sends no personal information. After it finishes, the app works fully offline.

Photos and Files access

The app asks access only to the videos you pick. It does not scan your library, and it cannot see anything you did not choose to import.

Purchases

CaptionRocket Pro is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment; we never see your card details. Apple may tell the app whether your subscription or lifetime purchase is active, which the app uses to unlock Pro features.

Children

CaptionRocket is a general-purpose captioning tool. It is not directed at children, and it collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of CaptionRocket changes how data is handled, we will update this page and the date at the top before that version ships.
